“A trainer attempts to retrain a vicious dog that’s been raised to kill Black people.” This is Imdb summary and I couldn’t agree more. White Dog is the last Fuller’s masterpiece and it sums up all his classical features: huge images, atavic conflicts, merciless fate. If you are looking for a White Fang kind of mood, well… you’re looking in the wrong place. The movie was never released wide in American theatres. I’m pretty sure you can imagine why, but if you really can’t figure it out by yourself, let me give you a little visual hint:
Of course, this isn’t the scariest moment at all. After the vision, here’s to you a great article full of stills and trivia (and spoilers, obviously).
Ps: The omnipresent music is composed and directed by Ennio Morricone.

Hey thanks for posting this!
Obviously I’ve been a bum about keeping up my blog.
WHITE DOG is a sensational film. Most definitely Fuller at his best.

It’s a shame that WHITE DOG has often been sold as a “Horror movie,” instead of the character study it really is.
