David Guez @ Plateforme, Paris

by fosco lucarelli

contemporary art

David Guez, French artist, creates new media artworks “that question contemporary subjects and their applications or their link with the web. He deals with topics as varied as free media, psychoanalysis, time, collective uses of the internet, identity problems, loss of liberty and questions of filing on the web.”

2067 is a set of artistic propositions by David Guez (installations, websites, objects) about time, memory and our collective and intimate relationship with these issues through social networks and new technologies.

Email2067: An innovative website created to send an e-mail in the future between tomorrow and… 2067.

Radio2067: A radio with a time line to listen music from 1860 to 2067.

Telephone2067: A network of booths and handsets installed in public spaces to leave voice messages in the future and a mobile phone application to know where these messages have been left.

Horloge2067: A clock that permanently records sound space environment. The movement on the hands guides you back to listen the past sequences.

David Guez exhibits his works at Plateforme galery in Paris, from April 29 → May 15, 2011. Details here.
