Jamie Temple is a Scottish illustrator based in London, working primarily with Linocut. He writes about himself:
Jamie’s narrative driven works explore the physical and natural environments we inhabit. Working predominantly with linocut his most recent works allude to stories and the act of storytelling using imagery that invites the viewer to construct their own narratives and conclusions.
Like in Morimura Ray‘s drawings, realism is not an issue for Jamie Temple: much more relevance is given to textures and hues. Even more importantly, architectures seem to be mere set constructions: devoid of any interiors, they always look empty and bidimensional. No human being seems to inhabit these houses, although threatening monsters sometimes hide in the shadows.
