Robbie Cornelissen, (1954), formerly trained as biologist, is one of the most important Dutch draughtsmen and animators. His background as biologist allows the author to depict complex architectural pieces as they were depictions of his own inner spaces, mental places and metaphors of the human mind.
Libraries, factories, arenas and shopping centers, are the main subjects, with frequent transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. Enveloped in the large formats (sometimes up to 4 meters-wide) the viewer enter Cornelissen work as a journey through his memories and thoughts.
