Paris-based artist Marion Verboon constructs pencil drawings in which elements from different visual universes cohabit on a sheet of paper. Fragments of buildings, sculptures, architectural elements, and volumes are assembled like three-dimensional electronic circuits, juxtaposed to form series of line or merged to give birth to metaphorical machines.
All the different fragments are translated into a new formal logic while losing their scale and their previous meaning. Every tension is put aside as overall compositional rules structure the space of the huge drawings.
