Daito Manabe is not new to music-controlled facial twiches, but his last work includes sensors that allow another person to tap on his face, activating both a virtual drum kit and synchronized face-twists.
Daito Manabe will perform on February 4th, 2011 and will animate the body-hack workshop on the following day @ Transmediale, a digital arts festival in Berlin, we’ll cover for sure.

Q: Does it hurt?
A: Yes. Depends on the part, but it’s like the stinging of needles. But the worst part is not the pain, some patterns deter my vision, sometimes I cannot breath. The pulse makes me see nonexistent white light, and green stripes.
