Some months ago Italian illustrator and cartoonist Giacomo Nanni (author of the recently published “La vera storia di Lara Canepa“) started narrating otherwise invisible minor stories on the pages of “Il Post“, through his eerie, imaginative drawings.
Just look at this one, and how beautifully his (not) deer is drawn.
Non sono un capriolo
“I’m not a deer”
from the story:
“Animali: capriolo in azienda modenese, catturato da volontari”
“Animals: deer in a Modena farm, captured by volunteers”
“First of all, let me say, I’m not a deer, alright? Then, maybe, I’ll go on.”
“In short, there is this industrial plant which is, like, a paint factory. Sounds interesting. I wanted to look at the bricks’ lacquers.”
“I wanted to see those lacquers who let the bricks seem already aged, as if they were already decades old, but I did not succeed. I was locked out.”
“A deer!”
“So unpleasant, they began to say that I was a deer. In the end they have called the volunteers of the Wildlife Center”
“Easy, we bring you to the Park of the Adamello”
