Tony Bevan is a British artist who currently lives and works in London. The architectural spaces in his paintings are described by thickly painted lines of only one color for each work, lines which appear in deep contrast with the clear background. Constructions take shape on canvas through a reduced language composed by silhouettes of structural elements, shadows, and sometimes flat surfaces. Skeletons of buildings and infrastructures appear rough, yet fragile through Bevan’s eyes, almost disgregating under the viewer’s eyes.
