James Corner and Alex S. Maclean: Taking Measures Across The American Landscape (1996)

August 27, 2011 by Fosco Lucarelli 3 Comments

“The techniques of representation are never neutral and architecture’s abstract means of imagining and realizing form leave their traces on the work. To understand representation as technique (in Foucault’s broader sense of techne) is therefore to pay attention to the paradoxical character of a discipline that operates to organize and transform material reality, but must do so at a distance, and through highly abstract means.”

I do not know whether it’s just me or if everybody else experiencing issues with your site. It appears as if some of the written text within your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well? This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen
    previously. Appreciate it
