Projekt 666, print works by Bengt Böckman, circa 1965–69

December 26, 2011 by Fosco Lucarelli Leave a Comment

Project 666, by graphic designer Bengt Böckman belongs to the Swedish art history.

A collage of science fiction architectural structures, in between Piranesi and Palle Nielsen, this work culminates with the etching Very Superior Old Persons 1969, a fantasy house building, whose idyllic bourgeois interiors contrast to exterior views of tumultuous street riots. (From Jan Torsten Ahlstrand swedish introduction)
