19th Century Paper Theater Ephemera

50 Watts (*), Agence Eureka and Geheugen van Nederland made a great work collecting images and samples of 19th Century paper theaters.

Scenes from gothic gardens, prisons, battlefields, folk homes. Jean Charles Pellerin’s company created the “Grand Théâtre Nouveau,” in 1896, using a lithographic process and became the model for many other producers, with his decoupages of furnitures, people, animals, details and environments.
