I look for rules, principles, methods or processes that generate change by visual means and lead to a consistent process that is governed by intuition (Kurt Kranz)

Kurt Kranz (1910 – 1997) was a German painter, graphic artist, teacher and experimental filmmaker who got his diplome at the Bauhaus just before Nazi pressure forced the school to shut down in 1933.

His work shows a commitment to art as a research discipline in which a scientific approach is carried out in order to achieve a result. Never aiming for a single masterpiece, Kranz was mostly interested in investigating multiple transformations, conducting experiments with several themes and techniques.

Considered one of the most prominent students of the school, his experimentation with processes of change and transformation made him a pioneer of Serial and Generative art.

Can you tell me if Kurt Kranz did the cover for a magazine named “Precision Digest” in 1966? It was volume 1. The theme is a physic’s type. I have this cover print framed and I am just wondering who this awesome artist is. Thanks for any help with this.
