Cold Hill Side: Landscapes by Claire Trotignon

March 12, 2015 by Mariabruna Fabrizi Leave a Comment

Claire Trotignon (b.1983) is a multi-media artist. At the beginning of her career she mostly produced collages and drawings but in recent times she has began constructing little wood sculptures as well as full rooms installations. Her bi-dimensional production consists of hyper-detailed representations of fragments of mountains on blank background, rendered with a myriad of different textures and colonized by small modernist architectures or by isolated swimming pools. The textures are also fragments themselves, scanned from the artist’s collection of etchings and reworked before being assembled into the naturalistic scenes.

“Let’s build a home“, an exhition dedicated to Trotignon’s work is held at Galerie de Roussan 47 rue Chapon, 75003 Paris Paris, France, between March 14th and May, 2nd, 2015.
