Alexandre Ciancio is a French architect and graphic designer, who investigates the relationship between architecture, image and metaphor.
In 2013 he got the first prize at My Provence Festival for “Bain de Foule” (“Flood of crowd”), a series of photomontages showing a multitude of B/W people in black and white over almost completely excised backgrounds. In the intention of the author, space is constructed only by the superposition and the interaction of bodies. These images were originally exhibited in diptychs, opposing one frontal and one perspective image.
