Forgotten Corners, by Andrew G. Fisher

April 28, 2017 by Mariabruna Fabrizi Leave a Comment

Andrew G. Fisher is an artist who opens a constant relationship between two media, photography and illustration.
Time is frozen in black and white snapshots, squared frames of a reality in which the human presence is absent at present time, but survives through its traces. The same scenes are reduced to a simpler geometry, traced with thick black lines forming a geometrically controlled composition. Repeated, this process leads to the formation of a melancholic récit, which leads the viewer back and forth between reality and abstraction.

The passage of time has always fascinated and intrigued me. Unchangeable and inevitable, a seemingly abstract concept which has confounding effects on every aspect of life. Each of my projects seeks to identify the relationship between time, place and people; how one inevitably affects the others. Andrew G Fisher.
