Tishk Barzanji is an Iraqi artist currently based in London. In his work, he combines photography and digital production of images, mixing 3d modeling with collage. The scenes he constructs are a surreal intertwining of many styles and eras in visual arts and architecture.
Direct references to Bofill’s Muralla Roja translated into Californian settings and enriched by Memphis-like textures are present. Black figures inhabit these labyrinthine spaces, appearing in deep contrast with the pastel colors of the environments.
